About Us

Our leadership has experience working with some of the biggest brands in media as well as with some of the most highly regarded brands within the Fortune 500.  From ideation sessions to the boardroom, we are trusted advisors helping global brands drive value from their intellectual property.

One of the most distinguishing aspects of our company is the strength, reputation and reach of our global network within the entertainment sector.  For global brands that are looking to engage a major studio, network, or celebrity, we facilitate the entire process.  Furthermore, our reputation with the world's top talent management agencies provides an unparalleled level of access to the most sought after talent and their management teams.  Our relationships with the definitive taste makers from these agencies also provides access to the most sought after emerging talent from around the globe.

Equally important, our investment relationships represent some of the world's leading institutional investors from private equity, hedge funds, pension funds, mutual funds and commercial lenders.  In some cases, our relationships with high net worth private investors may be more appropriate when a project's capital needs may not be as great during the early development stages of a project.  These relationships allow us to design bespoke financing packages customized to meet each client's unique needs while also mitigating financial risk.

Our Industry Focus

We collaborate with leading global brands within the consumer sector representing the following industries: apparel, footwear and luxury goods; food and beverage (packaged and retail quick service); consumer electronics and personal technology; personal care and beauty; consumer packaged goods (CPG); household and consumer durables; travel, hospitality and leisure; and professional sports franchises.

In each of these consumer-facing industries where choice is abundant and switching is relatively easy, brand storytelling becomes a strategic asset.  In addition to helping build brand loyalty, brand storytelling can help reduce customer acquisition costs, sustain revenue through economic cycles, and transform customers into brand advocates. The most successful companies aren’t just selling products they are cultivating their brand stories and in doing so they are building relationships, identities, and experiences that customers don’t want to leave behind.

Risk Mitigation

As stewards of our client's intellectual property and brand reputation, risk mitigation is paramount and central to every decision.  For this reason, we partner with the world's leading talent management agencies in sourcing industry validated creative and production resources best suited to meet the needs of any given production.

Managing Director

Don currently serves as the firm’s Managing Director and is responsible for leading and managing client engagements as well as our relationships with major studios, distributors, talent agencies and production companies.  Don began his career on Madison Avenue with GREY Advertising in New York City and was immediately thrown into the fire to work on television campaigns for some of the world's most revered brands.  Eventually, Don caught the eye of the creative powerhouse that was across the street, McCann-Erickson.  Don is particularly fond of his time at McCann, the world-class creative talent in which he was surrounded and the frenetic production environment and countless creative awards that this agency is so well known for around the world.  Following his time at McCann, Don worked directly with WPP founder and CEO, Sir Martin Sorrell, on a number of M&A initiatives for London based WPP plc.  Most recently Don served as a partner at Indie Equity working closely with Bedi Singh who previously served as the former Co-CEO, President and Chief Financial Officer of MGM Studios, as the Chief Financial Officer of Sony Pictures Entertainment, and as the former Chief Financial Officer of News Corporation.  Bedi continues to serve as a close professional advisor and mentor.

In addition to Don’s exceptionally strong business acumen, Don presents a very strong technical understanding of advanced production technologies as a byproduct of the ground breaking research Don had led in distributed post production technologies and next-generation workstreams for the media industry as a graduate student at the Harvard Business School.   Moreover, from working with producers, directors, and editorial teams, to collaborating and working with the executive ranks, Don has a proven track record of being able to effectively establish and manage these vital relationships.  Don's understanding of a production's chain of command combined with his exceptional communication and diplomacy skills have made him highly successful in driving consensus among the creative and executive ranks.

Don has worked with some of the world's biggest brands and their respective executive leadership teams, including AT&T, IBM, Kraft General Foods, Motorola, among many others.  Of curious note, Don was the person who introduced AT&T's executive leadership team to the executive who launched and built AT&T's entertainment operations from scratch into a multi-billion dollar entertainment platform, ultimately leading to AT&T's acquisition of Time Warner which brought together global media and entertainment leaders Warner Bros., HBO, and Turner.

On a personal note, until recently, Don served on the Executive Committee and Chaired the Committee on Trustees for The Cove School which is the oldest school in North America to work with children with complex learning and developmental disabilities.  Don was recently presented with Cove's prestigious Prism Award for his "Inspirational Leadership, Outstanding Commitment and Transformational Impact" during his fifteen year tenure as a Trustee and remains an honorary lifetime Trustee.  Don is also an active member of the Economic Club of Chicago and was a longstanding member of the club’s six person programs committee responsible for inviting guest speakers to address the club’s members at quarterly dinners.  While in this role, speakers that addressed the club included: Patrick Whitesell, Co-CEO of William Morris Endeavor; Sir Martin Sorrell, founder of WPP plc.; Mary Barra, CEO of General Motors; former AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson; Bono the recording artist from U2; and former President of the United States, Barak Obama.

Don received his Master in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School and his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame.
